Our Gin is Different

We have a clear rule at Twistillery, if we can't grow or forage something locally, we don't use it. It's not Scottish gin without Scottish botanicals.

Not everything comes from the farm yet, but we're working on that. Every recipe is future proof and ready to have our own botanicals in the bottle.

Start Over

The first chapter in the Twistillery story. Designed to be bright, fresh and bold.

The taste of a new life and a new start.

You'll find classic juniper, followed up by floral chamomile and elderflower, then elderberry sweetness, grounded with nettle.

Spirit

We start our craft gin with UK produced neutral grain spirit, and use traditional distilling methods in an unconventional pot still.

Our Scottish inspired botanicals infuse and produce a rich, bold, unique craft gin.

Avaiable to purchase in our online shop and on the farm from 10am to 3pm every Saturday.

Botanicals

If you want to make excellent gin, you have to use excellent botanicals.

Starting out we’re only using our approved suppliers to get the best ingredients possible

Over time, as the planting takes hold around the distillery, we aim to grow or forage all our ingredients.

If it doesn't grow naturally in our environment, we simply don’t use it.

Foraging

How better to bottle Aberdeenshire and share the amazing Scottish coast line that we’re lucky enough to call home, than by foraging botanicals from that same coastline.

By exploring the world around us, we find inspiration and by distilling those ingredients we aim to give the most accurate taste of what we get to experience every day.

One measure of our gin is Scotland, distilled.

Growing

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. Our aim is to have all our botanicals grown on farm.

We can feed waste to livestock, the livestock will fertilise the ground around us, and the ingredients grown will be even better, more natural, and more organic.

The goal is a fully closed-loop supply circle, but that might be some time away. For now we're utilising the fields around us and the polytunnel, we’re working to supply ourselves as best we can.
